No Objections active from March 2008 to June 2008 WEIGHT: 100kgs DIMENSIONS: 140 x 140 x 15 cm SHAPE: A low dome type shape COLOUR: Yellow, with a yellow and black striped lifter with red forks, and stylised black arrowheads on each side. The spinner rim is metal-coloured. DRIVE: 2 S28-400 Magmotors driving 2 wheels, with a fairly narrow wheelbase to increase rotation speed, running at 24v from 4 NiCd packs. SPEED: About 12mph average when driving normally, can get up to 40mph when spinning GROUND CLEARANCE: 7mm all around, except at the front where the forks make it 0. 1mm in places because of the blades. ARMOUR: 2mm titanium/vanadium alloy on top of 5mm UHMW polythene on the top of the robot, supported by a 4mm Hardox frame underneath with holes drilled to reduce weight. 3mm aluminium baseplate. WEAPONS: Complicated this...it has an electric lifting arm running off a 1 tonne linear actuator, pivoting from the rear of the robot with two front forks to get underneath opponents. The arm can lift 250kgs easily and extends fully (almost vertical) in about 1.5 seconds. Also, the robot has the capability to be a full body spinner (a spin-in-place one as opposed to a Ziggo or Gyrobot) with an outer 1.2cm Hardox ring with two blades/teeth, one on each side, made of hardened tool steel set close to the floor (1-2mm) and capable of delivering about 80kj of energy when hitting, calculated very roughly. SRIMECH: The lifter NOTES: Internal components shockproofed to protect it from its own and other peoples' spinner hits. STRENGTHS: Versatile, can cause some damage, manoeuvrable WEAKNESSES: Large area to attack, top armour not as strong as it could be, cannot translate while spinning Joey's notes: None yet - check back soon!

No Exceptions active from June 2008 to September 2008 WEIGHT: 110kgs DIMENSIONS: 150 x 135 x 15 cm SHAPE: A low dome type shape; the actual dome is 135cm diameter; to my knowledge the largest vapour out there COLOUR: Yellow, with a yellow and black striped lifter with red forks, and stylised black arrowheads on each side. The spinner rim is metal-coloured with red teeth DRIVE: 2 S28-400 Magmotors running at 24v from 6 NiCad packs, driving two inner custom built 5cm wide/90cm long Vulkalon/Kevlar belt tracks; however these are designed such that the two idler sprockets (either side of the drive sprocket) are raised 5mm off the ground, so normally (due to weight distribution) the robot only rests on the bit of track below the drive sprockets, giving it excellent maneuvrability; however when pushed (or hitting someone with the spinner) the robot rocks slightly and a larger part of the track comes into contact with the ground, giving it more grip and helping it stay in place. (as always, if my powers of description are inadequate I shall draw a diagram) SPEED: 14mph average, 20mph max GROUND CLEARANCE: 7mm all around; the blades reach about 1mm below this ARMOUR: 5mm aluminium baseplate, with a 7mm HDPE curved top panel supported from a Hardox chassis with 3mm Ti/Vanadium alloy beneath. WEAPONS: Main weapon is the 8mm thick outer Hardox ring spinner, which makes up the bottom 2cm or so of the body of the robot. This outer ring is driven by two S28-400 Magmotors run at 24v, but with the timing on the motors adjusted so they run faster in one direction, making the ring faster. It weighs about 20kgs and has four S7 hardened tool steel teeth on it, extending about 5cm out, and it spins at 2000rpm giving out about 50kj per hit. However, the effect of this can be increased if the robot itself spins on the spot, which increases the energy to around 80kj. The other weapon is the Hardox-reinforced lifting arm, which runs from a 1 tonne linear actuator and runs the entire length of the robot, hinged at the rear, but also extends out over the front of the spinner before touching the ground, allowing the blades of the spinner to pass beneath it when down. The lifter can lift about 200kgs easily at the tip and extends to almost vertical in about two seconds. SRIMECH: The lifter NOTES: Internal components shockproofed to protect it from its own and other peoples' spinner hits. STRENGTHS: Large area of attack, maneuvrable, versatile, good pusher as well as damaging WEAKNESSES: Large area to attack; vulnerable to axes Joey's notes: None yet - check back soon!

No Consequences active from September 2008 to the present CAD by Kody Kunz, thanks WEIGHT: 100kgs DIMENSIONS: 140 x 140 x 15 cm (excluding appendages) SHAPE: A low dome shape, with the lower 4cm of the body cut off at right angles to the floor COLOUR: Yellow, with a red and yellow striped lifter arm and black chevrons on each side DRIVE: 2 S28-400 Magmotors run at 24v from 4 NiMh packs and custom control electronics, driving 2 inner urethane tyred wheels located close to the centre to maximise rotation speed. SPEED: 12mph driving speed; 5mph maximum translational drift speed - note it is switchable between driving and translating GROUND CLEARANCE: 7mm all around, except for the front forks on the lifter which are 0 ARMOUR: 2mm titanium/vanadium alloy over a Hardox frame (which also acts as the armour on the sides), designed to concentrate the armour weight on the outside for more of a flywheel effect when spinning, with a 5mm 2014 aluminium base. The blades and front forks are 3.25mm Hardox. WEAPONS: The robot itself acts as a translational full body spinner; a complicated set of electronics incorporating an internal compass and accelerometer controls, through a microprocessor, the speeds of the two wheels so that while spinning at up to 1000rpm, the entire robot moves across the arena as well. There are two blades/teeth, one on either side of the robot, shaped to rip rather than bludgeon and capable of delivering a maximum of 130kj per hit. The machine retains its rear hinged full length 25cm wide lifting arm from previous versions as well, powered by the same 1 tonne linear actuator and capable of lifting fully in about a second. SRIMECH: The lifter NOTES: Components are heavily shockproofed to protect from spinner and other hits. A pulsing light shows which way is forward when spinning. STRENGTHS: Versatile, capable of doing a lot of damage WEAKNESSES: Runaway steamrollers Joey's notes: None yet - check back soon!
