BIACS By Popular Demand
Name Origin - The original BIACS stood for Bull In A China Shop. The rest is self-explanatory
Weight - 94.3kg
Speed - 9mph, 4.1 m/s
Dimensions - H-65cm, L-85cm, W-70cm
Locomotion - 2 x 450mm custom aluminium wheels with spiked rubber treads. The wheels have a lot of holes drilled into it for the sake of weight. There are also casters on short extenders to the disc arm.
Shape - When I find someone with the capability of rendering it, you'll see. You'll all invent your own anyway
Ground Clearance - 2mm underneath the cage, varying massively everywhere else
Turning Circle - 0
Armour - As the mesh cage was a counterweight on the last machine, this time it's replaced by a smaller but stronger 3mm titanium wedge. This wedge has no back to it to save weight. It acts as a counterweight to the disc, and so is designed to leave enough gap for the disc and arm to swing underneath it, it is perfectly symmetrical so the robot looks identical. The wedge whichever way it's facing. The small area around the disc and between the wheels is made of 4.5mm titanium.
Batteries - 10xNiMh 24V Battlepacks.
Motors - 2x S28-400 Magmotors at 24V
Weapon - The weapon is a 17kg, 350mm, 1.5 inch thick titanium disc with 2 1kg titanium teeth, spinning at 2450rpm powered by an S28-400 Magmotor geared at 2:1. This is going to produce in the region of 60kJ when fully spun up, and has a spin up time of around 4 seconds. Half spun up should be enough to damage weak-medium armour, whilst anything stronger will need 3/4 power. The weapon is mounted on an arm allowing it to swing over much like Stinger. The difference in this evolution is that the disc can be mounted on the arm so it runs both vertically AND horizontally if required for individual fights. When the arm swings over one way, the wedge goes the other. This is unaffected whichever way the disc is facing.
Srimech- totally invertible
Notes - If tactics are not given, presume disc will be in vertical set up and presume wedge will be kept facing until disc is up and then brought over. The start position will be with the disc spinning down, so when it goes over it's being brought into play spinning up.
