[shadow=red,left,300]Fire And Ice[/shadow]
WEIGHT: 110kgs DIMENSIONS: 80 x 60 x 25 cm SHAPE: Invertible box, with a wedge at the front and an inverted wedge at the back. COLOUR: Flame red and yellow at front, icy blue and green at back. DRIVE: 4 LEM130 motors running off NiCd packs at 36hp (36v) driving steel-reinforced urethane rubber tracks. SPEED: 16mph average, 25mph max (rarely used as it is difficult/impossible to turn at this speed) GROUND CLEARANCE: 10mm at sides, hinged plating extending below both wedges giving zero clearance on whichever side is down (if that makes sense...), 23cm at rear. ARMOUR: Sides ,front and rear are 6mm hardox, with the top and underside being 4mm titanium. WEAPONS: Mainly relies on speed and ramming power, but also has two 20cm diameter diamond edged sawblades, one in the centre of each wedge (a la Angel Of Death from S2) powered by S28-150 Magmotors at 24v to around 3500rpm. The saws spin upwards to have some lifting effect as well. SRIMECH: None, but runs inverted. Has spike strips on the sides to prevent stranding. NOTES: Armour and components shock mounted to reduce impact from all things large and spinny. STRENGTHS: Good speed and power, good against spinners WEAKNESSES: Tracks vulnerable to axes
Achievements: Winner of Heat I, EOTR 4 Grand finalist, EOTR 4 RUNNER UP, EOTR 4 2nd Seed, EOTR 5 Record: 6-1

PHOENIX DOWN
WEIGHT: Depends on setup, but around 110kgs DIMENSIONS: 85 x 60 x 25 cm SHAPE: Invertible long box, with a wedge at the front and an inverted wedge at the rear. The wedges are shallower in this version for more wedging goodness. COLOUR: Largely midnight blue, fading to black at the rear and yellow at the front, with flashes of orange and red. DRIVE: 2 LEM200 motors running from 4 NiCad packs at 48v, driving titanium tank tracks with Vulkalon on every other link for grip without eating amps SPEED: 16mph average, 25mph max (rarely used as it is difficult/impossible to turn at this speed) GROUND CLEARANCE: 10mm at sides, plating extending below both wedges giving zero clearance on whichever side is down (if that makes sense...), 25cm at rear. ARMOUR: Sides, front and rear are 6mm Hardox, top and underside are 6mm titanium with Lexan reinforcing in key areas all around. WEAPONS: Primarily a rambot, and is assisted by 4 10cm hardened steel spikes, one either side of each wedge. In the middle of both wedges, there is an interchangable weapons bay, which can hold the following: Claw: A hardened steel hydraulic cutting/crushing claw, no taller than the robot, powered from a Ford Granada ABS pump at 2400psi giving about 4 tonnes of force at the ram, and 2 tonnes at the tip of the claw, which won't cut into good titanium or Hardox but will prevent almost anything from escaping. Saw: A 15cm diameter diamond edged circular saw, run from an S28-150 Magmotor at 24v to around 3500rpm, spinning upwards to have a lifting effect. Lifter: A pair of Haardvark/Nidhogg style hardened steel lifting forks, powered by an S28-150 Magmotor and a custom gearbox that can lift about 100kgs rather easily. Standard setup is the claw at the front, and a saw at the back. The weapons bay can be covered over to just make it a rambot - this has the advantage of making it just under 100kgs, allowing me to do battle in tournaments that don't have a tracks weight bonus. SRIMECH: None, but runs inverted and has spike strips on the sides to stop it stranding itself. NOTES: Armour and components shock mounted to reduce damage from impacts, spinners, bashes, battles, and other things ending in S. STRENGTHS: Good speed and power, good against spinners, versatile weaponry WEAKNESSES: Crushers and very powerful axes could cause problems with the tracks.
Basically Fire And Ice with a different paint job, bigger but fewer motors, better tracks, and interchangable weaponry. Name comes from the Final Fantasy series, specifically FFIX.
