Now THIS should get done. Basically, it's going to be somewhat of a VariANT clone. An low inverted box wedge with a spinning blade, and some small motors, batteries, and wheels. Hopefully I can make it work invertible. Below is a render of what it might look like. It's a bit different from the vapourbot version in which the wheels are exposed, and there's no hub protecting the spinning bar. I'm going to start looking for parts next week. Oh, and nobody is gonna let me buy stuff over the internet, I'm completely banned from that. Any tips?

www.robotwars101.org/ is probably a good start, assuming it's a 150g UK antweight. For bits without having to use the internet you could probably find everything needed to build one at a model shop that does radio gear (servos, radio gear, batteries, brushless motor/speedo for the disk) and you can construct the rest from commonly available household parts. Ask on MSN if you want more advice, I know far too much about ants as it is. And best of luck with it, you'll get something done eventually and I'll be here to help out where I can.

Haven't updated, and I've had good reason not to, but I think you all should know... No more cash to be working on a robot at all, now. My money, however little or large is in my account, is ALL being kept there for college, and I'm not allowed to salvage for parts now either. Yes, this sucks, but I'm dealing with it.

HaHA! I'm back in business! Just got a proper robot book from my parents, but I still have to find a place to build the damn thing. They won't let me build it in the house. So I'll just have to build it on the balcony. ;D And anyway I know exactly where to get the parts I need, so look for pics of Flamberge up on here soon!

More bad news, I'm afraid. This is getting delayed for a LONG time. We are saving up money to move into western Canada, so there'll be absolutely no work going into any robot projects. Sad, but it is necessary.
