Robot Name: Cause and Effect
Dimensions (LxWxH): 130cm x 80cm x 50cm at highest point.
Shape: Front and rear wedge, with the front wedge chopped off to leave a flat front end. The sides are sloped, and have a removable section which each extend 15cm further from the main body.
Colour: Completely black, with the flipper arm bright red. The robot has red LED lights running down the length of each side of the robot.
Weight: 145kg.
Drive: 2 x C40-500 MagMotors running at 36v geared down 15.1:1. The Mags are powered by some 36v NiCad batteries.
Top Speed: Roughly 15mph.
Wheels: The robot has 2 x 20cm diameter wheels made from Titanium/Vanadium alloy, covered in a Vulcalon tyre to aid in grip.
Armour: 20mm Titanium/Vannadium alloy all over the robot, with the flipper arm made from 5mm Hardox. The removeable side sections are hollow and are made from 5mm Titanium/Vanadium alloy.
Weapon: The robot has a large flipping arm which goes along the length of the robot, starting from the flat front end all the way to the bottom of the rear wedge. The flipper is 20cm wide and at the front has 2 long 30cm forks, sharpened at the end to get underneath the smallest of ground clearances. The flipper is powered by 2 x 80mm pneumatic rams running at 1000PSI. The rams are powered by Nitrogen stored in 4 x 1.1kg fire extinguishers, meaning that the robot should have enough flips to last a fight. The flipper is capable of flipping half a ton! Bye Bye robots!
