Name: Wheely Pure Evil 2 (Thanks to Aaron for flipper rams and armour) Weight: 100kg Armour: 6mm Aluminium Boron Carbite (slightly heavier than Aluminium, but harder than Tungsten) Speed: 18mph Shape: Low invertible wedge Weapon 1: Top hinged flipper powered by a 80mm pneumatic ram, working at 1000psi fixed on top of the robot. At the bottom of the flipper there is a 5mm Grade 5 Titanium wedge extender, designed to get under any ground clearance. Weapon 2: Top hinged flipper powered by an 80mm pneumatic ram, working at 1000psi fixed on the underside of the robot. Strengths: Powerful weaponry and tough armour. Weaknesses: Exposed wheels on top and limited CO2 on board. Ground Clearance: 1cm at the back, 0mm on sides due to side skirts and 0mm at front due to flipping plate. Srimech: Invertible. Notes: The robot is powered by 2 S28-400 MagMotors running at 24v, which give 18mph top speed. The flippers are made from 4mm Aluminium Boron Carbite, and powered by 80mm pneumatic rams working at 1000psi due to Nitrogen. Each flipper can flip roughly 2500kg each. However, due to the flipper set up, the robot can flip roughly 5000kg! The robot has hinged side skirts, to stop robot getting underneath. The skirts are made from 3mm Aluminium Boron Carbite, and are hinged so they run upside down. The flippers can be fired at the same time, or independently. This robot works on the same basis as St Agro: a double flipper.

Name: Pure Evil: Revenge of the Disc Weight: 100kg Armour: 7mm Hardox ring spinner and 4mm Titanium flipper/wedge. Speed: 8mph Shape: It is a ring spinner with a front wedge. Weapon 1: The main body is a ring spinner made from 7mm Hardox, with Titanium teeth all over it. It is powered by a LEM130 motor at 48v geared down 3:1. This means the body can reach a top speed of 2400RPM. The disc weighs a total of 38kg. Weapon 2: A spinning kinetic powered flipper, based on Team Whyachi’s “Warrior SKF”. It uses the kinetic energy from the disc to power the flipper, meaning it can flip with a total of 298KJ of energy. Strengths: Unique and powerful weaponry. Good control. Weaknesses: Takes a long time to self right due to the disc needing to spin up successfully. Ground Clearance: 0mm at front and sides of flipper, 5mm at back due to ring spinner. Srimech: The flipper can successfully self right the robot. Notes: The robot is powered by 2 800w 36v DC motors giving 8mph top speeds. The wheels are made from Vulcalon, and have screws embedded in them to help gain traction on the arena floor. The ring spinner is powered by a LEM130 motor at 48v geared down 3:1. This means the body can reach a top speed of 2400RPM. There are 15 1” cubed Titanium teeth all over the horizontal spinner, giving it 298KJ of energy on impact. The flipper works because there is an eccentric land on top of the spinning ring. The top link connected to the flipper plate has a groove in it, when fired the top link engages with the spinner land and pulls backward flipping the plate up. At the front of the flipper there is a 4mm Titanium “nose” with a sharpened edge designed to get under all skirts and ground clearances. All the electrics are kept within the 1m diameter of the ring spinner.

Robot Name: Pure Evil – Back To Basics. Dimensions (LxWxH): 120cm x 35cm x 50cm Shape: Wedge with shallow sloped sides and a steep sloped rear. Colour: Dark blue all over, even the flipper. Weight: 110kg with the weight advantage for having tracks. Drive: 2 x LEM130s running at 36v, powered by NiCad batteries. Top Speed: Roughly 18mph. Wheels: None – it has tracks! . The tracks are made from Titanium/Vanadium alloy, and have small rubber pads on each section to aid in gaining traction on the arena floor. Armour: 4mm Hardox all over, with the flipper being slightly stronger at 5mm Hardox. The bottom of the flipper has a 4mm Titanium strip to aid in getting underneath opponents. Weapon: Pure Evil – Back To Basics does exactly what it says; it’s gone back to doing what it does best – flip! The robot has a single ram rear-hinged flipper powered by a 80mm pneumatic ram working at 1000psi. The pneumatic system in PE:B2B is Nitrogen, giving the flipper a bit more power than usual. The robot has 2kg of Nitrogen on board, and should flip 2500kg with every flip. Turning Circle: 0m. Ground Clearance: 0mm at front, 7mm on sides and back. Srimech: Flipper self rights the robot in superb style! Modifications for 100kg weight limit- Wheels are 30cm diameter go kart wheels.
- Armour is now 4mm Titanium all over, with the flipper staying at 5mm Hardox.
- Weight is 100kg. ;D
