Name: Manic Monsoon Weight: 100kg Armour: 5mm Hardox all over. Speed: Roughly 28mph Shape: Box wedge with side skirts and rounded back. Weapon 1: A linear actuator powered lifter running by a 4 bar system at 24v. This can lift 200kg easily. Weapon 2: A small strip of Grade 5 Titanium on the front wedge, which gives 0mm ground clearance. Strengths: Powerful drive and good strong weapon Weaknesses: A bit too fast and hard to control when at full speed. Ground Clearance: 0mm on front and sides, 1cm at back. Srimech: Invertible, but can self right using the lifter if wanted to. Notes: The robot is powered by 2 B42-500 MagMotors running at 60v. This gives Monsoon approx 60HP! The robot has a total of 6 wheels, 3 on each side. Each side is linked together by a set of heavy duty belts, giving 0m turning circle and the manoeuvrability of a 2 wheeled robot, and each wheel is coated in Vulcalon. The front wedge is angled at 42.5 degrees, meaning that it is not too steep or too shallow. The lifting arm is powered by a S28-150 MagMotor, and is made from 7075 Aluminium. The lifter itself can lift a total of 200kg, and can self right the robot if needs be. The side skirts are made from 4mm Titanium and are hinged.

Robot Name: Noo Monsoon. Dimensions (LxWxH): 85cm x 45cm x 25cm Shape: Invertible box (similar to Tornado) with a rounded back and slightly pointed sides (like a < > but not as “sharp”). Colour: Gold with black trim. Weight: 100kg Drive: 2 x LEM200 running at 60v, powered by a bunch of NiCad batteries. Top Speed: Roughly 17mph. Wheels: The robot has 6 x 26cm diameter go-kart wheels, 3 on each side, with each side linked together with a high quality rubber belt, so the robot can turn on the spot. The wheels hubs are made from HDPE. Armour: The whole robot is covered in 15mm HDPE. Weapon: At the front of the robot are 3 horizontal rows of 3cm long Hardox spikes. Each row has 8 spikes on it, meaning at the front there are 24 spikes. The robot is mainly a pusher, but hopefully the spikes can cause a bit of damage to its opponents. The LEM200s give Noo Monsoon roughly 100HP!! Turning Circle: 0m Ground Clearance: 1cm all over. Srimech: Invertible. My attempt at a render. And a slightly better one by Martijn! ;D ;D

Robot Name: Monsoon Magnum Dimensions (L x W x H): 80cm x 70cm x 35cm Shape: Invertible box, front wedge, slanted sides and steep rear wedge. Colour: Black with a white trim all around the machine. On the top the words "Monsoon Magnum" are written in a thick bold font with a picture of a bullet underneath. Weight: 100kg Drive: 2 x LEM130s running at 36v, powered by a bunch of 36v NiCads. Top Speed: Approx 15mph. Wheels: 4 x 37cm diameter, 15cm wide Aluminium hubs, with Vulcalon grips added. Each side connected by a heavy duty drive chain. Armour: The whole machine is constructed from a 4mm Hardox monocoque shell. Weaponry: This incarnation of Monsoon is going back to its roots, a lifting device! The machine has an electric lifting arm powered by 2 x S28-400 Magmotors running at 36v, which in turn are powered by 36v NiCad batteries. The motors are geared down 75:1, meaning they are really torquey and should be able to lift well over 250kg without straining. The arm is made from 5mm Hardox, and runs parallel with the front wedge. On the bottom of the lfiting arm is an extender made from 6mm Titanium/Vanadium alloy, sharpened to slide under robots easily. Turning Circle: 0m Ground Clearance: 0mm at front, 7mm at sides and back. Srimech: Invertible.

Robot Name: Monsoon Season Dimensions (L x W x H): 90cm x 80cm x 35cm Shape: Box wedge, slanted sides and steep rear wedge. Colour: The main body shell is black, with the flipper/ramming plate in bright green. The sides of the machine have skulls drawn on them in the same colour green as the flipper/ramming plate. Weight: 110kg Drive: 2 x LEM130s running at 36v, powered by a bunch of 36v NiCads. Top Speed: Approx 15mph. Tracks: This version of Monsoon has tracks instead of wheels, therefore allowing me to have an extra 10kg of weight in the machine. The tracks are made from Titanium/Vanadium alloy and have Vulcalon pads on every section of track in order to fully incorporate grip on the arena floor. Armour: The baseplate is 5mm Titanium. The main body shell is constructed from a single piece of 30mm HDPE. The flipper/ramming plate is made from 4mm Hardox and covers the whole of the front of the machine. Weaponry: At the front of the machine is a 4mm Hardox flipper/ramming plate, similar in style to Atomic from Series 7 of Robot Wars. The flipper/ramming plate is powered by 2 x 80mm bore 60mm stroke pneumatic rams, run off CO2 gas contained at 1000psi. The gas is held in 3 x 1.1kg CO2 gas canisters inside the robot, and should allow for plenty of flips in a battle (roughly 35 flips). The front of the machine can also be used as a ramming plate, allowing Monsoon Season to use its enormous pushing power as well as the ability to flip its opponents clean out of the arena. Turning Circle: 0m Ground Clearance: 0mm at front, 7mm at sides and back. Srimech: Flipper.
