Van Tango Type - Heavyweight Team – Solarized Team Members – The driver is Emma, Dave is on weapons, and Steve is the engineer Mass – 100 kg Weapons – It uses an axe as it’s main weapon. Same system as Terrorhurtz but with an interchangeable tip (flat, point, hammer). The secondary weapon will only be used in one on ones because it’s a full body spinner, but the entire robot spins on the spot. It has no blades, but the idea is that the axe hits into the other robot, and Van Tango turns around with some force. After 25 seconds, a system kicks in releasing the other robot and hopefully the centrifugal force will send it crashing away. THERE ARE NO SPINNER MOTORS; IT SPINS ON THE SPOT USING THE DRIVE. Also front lifting scoop to lift underneath the other robot to clear the ground ready for spinning. Can it self-right – Axe Velocity – 10 ms-1 Acceleration – 5 ms-2 Turning Circle – Zero Ground clearance – Front has a scoop which lifts, when down it’s zero, when up, entire robot is 1cm, enough to stop grounding on uneven arena floors. Skirts – Are Ya Kidding? Wheel Type – 4 wheels, solid go-kart. In addition to help the robot turn on the shot really quick, ball bearings are on the ends of the corners, reducing friction. Motors – A couple of Bosch 750’s at 24 volts. It uses belts, encased for the quick skid-steer. Body Shape – Box with a front lifting scoop Armour – 5mm titanium, covered in a layer of plastic. Colour – Black Extras – It has a counter-balance at the rear of the robot to stop it tipping up when spinning. Summary – Simple, hit, lift, spin, release. The first axe-spinner. Strengths – Can Control a battle, fast, high ground clearance. Weaknesses – Power is useless compared to the masses of Storm 2 clones, can’t use thrower well in melees. Random Fact – Unusual weapon based on a shot thrower, no idea how it will perform.

BATTLE RAPTOR 3 Weight: 100kg Shape: Low box, painted orange with black stripes like the raptors in Jurassic Park, with a low scoop at the front, with a hammer and a decorative Velociraptor head attached to either side of the scoop (the heads are on the sides of the hammers) Dimensions: 95 x 60 x 30 Speed: 17mph Ground Clearance: 0 at front due to scoop, 0 at sides and back due to skirts, 4mm behind skirts Turning Circle: 0 Armour: 5mm titanium; scoop is 3mm titanium Wheels: 4, inside robot, poke out the top so the robot can run inverted, use skid steering Power: 36V battery and motors Weapon: A CO2 powered flipper/axe. The weapon is positioned at the front of the robot, with a 3mm titanium scoop at the end resting on the floor. Two small Beta-style pointed hammers are fixed to the side of the scoop, extending just above it. The weapon fires quickly like an axe, turning 180 degrees to flip anything at the front and axe anything at the back. It then returns to its original position at a slower speed, because it would deform the flipper otherwise. Srimech: Weapon acts as srimech. If weapon fails in resting position, robot can run inverted because the hammers on the scoop do not extend to the full height of the robot when it is right side up and therefore do not prop it off the floor. It cannot rest on its sides and rear due to the skirts, which flop down when it is inverted. Tactics: Flip skirtless opponents and axe skirted opponents. Strengths: Multi purpose weaponry; invertable; fast Weaknesses: Cannot use weaponry when inverted except as srimech; wheels vulnerable to axes

PRP (Powerpoint reaches Pressure-point)
Weight- 98.8kg (As ever, weight distribution available on request) Dimensions- H- 35cm, L+W- 65cm Speed- 9.6mph Shape- Low Square Cuboid Ground Clearance- 7mm chassis, dead zero everywhere else Turning Circle- 0 Armour- 4mm RSP-707 TG top, 7mm Hardox on sides above skirt level, 3mm ti underneath, 5mm polycarbonate base Locomotion- 4 240mm foam filled wheels Power- 4 x S28-150 Magmotors, producing 11.72BHp Removable Link Position- Underneath rear skirt about 10cm back. Weapon 1- The skirts. These are angled to lie dead flat on the ground, as well as being at 37 degrees, which is an optimum angle for sliding underneath. These are to drag robots up, to counteract flippers, and to provide a way of combining defence with the offence. Weapon 2- On top of the machine is an 18kg spinning bar powered by a single LEM 130 off 48V. it spins at 2600rpm and produces a nasty 83Kj of energy, which we predict should be able to nicely cut through up to a cm of titanium. Srimech- Another incredible part of the machine. When we are flipped, the bar naturally slows down. When the speed reduces to a speed of around 60rpm, at which point such action will not damage the mechanism, 2 latches will automatically stop the blade from spinning. This will enable us to fire 2 low pressure arms, each with around 14 fires before the pressure drops. This should be enough per fight Strengths- Good all-round machine Weaknesses- Can be beaten by a strong, fast, powerful flipper as well as a couple of single machines that shan’t be named. Very little will beat this one as it is designed along the same line as Spinverter, in the sense that it’s the best of everything in a small package.

Name: Avalanche Shape: low wedge Colour: White and light purple. Weight: 100kg Dimensions: 100 x 73 x 35cm Speed: 18mph Turning Circle: 0 Ground clearance: 0mm at front. Virtually 0mm around the rest of the robot Armour: 5mm Grade 5 Titanium Wheels: 4 wheeled. Wheels stick out of the top so Avalanche is invertible Power: 2 X 36v MagMotors Weapons: A 10kg Tornado style spinning flail set in the centre of the wedge. The whole robot mainly acts like an avalanche. If anything gets in it's way, it will plow straight through it without stopping! SRIMECH: Invertible NOTES: Has 'Avalanche' painted on the top and bottom in red STRENGTHS: High pushing power and tough armour WEAKNESSES: Lack of damaging weapons

Darth Dread
Weight Class: Heavyweight Shape: Just a simple box on wheels. Colour: Look at the picture, I don't even think I need this stat anymore Armour: 6mm Grade 5 Titanium with 3mm Lexan covering. Speed: 14mph Weight: 99.9kg Dimensions: Length = 90cm, Width = 65cm, Height = 40cm Ground Clearance: Without the 0mm clearance skirts and spikes at the front, sides and back, it's all 3mm. Turning Circle: 0 Power: Two nice C40-300 MagMotors run at 36v. Batteries: 4 NiCads. Speed Controller: VANTEC RDFR series. Wheels: 4 foam-filled ones located inside the robot Weapons: The only weapon here is a 25 lb hammer made of iron. That's right. Iron. It's powered by a linear actuator inside the robot, and the time it comes down is 0.6 secs. The force is enough to either:
1) Knock something out of place 2) Completely kill the opponent 3) Put holes in the opponent's armour 4) Wreck the arena floor
Srimech: Hammer Strengths: If one hit doesn't kill the opponent, the next hit will. Extremely hard to flip. Weaknesses: Can be flipped by a vertical spinning bar.

Clawdius Decimus Murderous
SHAPE- wedge with small box section and high rear wedge COLOUR- deep green with shield emblazoned on the wedge WEIGHT- about 100kg DIMENSIONS- 95cm X 73cm X 70cm (including claw – 35cm without) SPEED- 13mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0m GROUND CLEARANCE- virtually 0mm at the front, 0mm at sides and rear thanks to skirts (arranged in a Biohazard fashion, corner-to-corner), 10mm without ARMOUR- 5mm Hardox WHEELS- inside robot, 4-wheel drive POWER- 2 X S28-300 MagMotors (thanks to Scott here) WEAPONS- The main weapon is the Razer-style crushing claw, operating at 3000psi (5000 if permitted in certain tournaments), with a nice little diamond-coated tip. Also at the front is a Firestorm-style blade and 2 small “spears” to aid in getting under the opposition. Combined with the crusher and the reasonably powerful 4WD, CDM can become an effective pusher/clamper SRIMECH- Like before, CDM uses a rear-hinged pneumatic arm on either side to self-right. The high-wedged rear also prevents the robot getting perched there NOTES- flies the Scotland flag, concept of name came from “Gladiator” (“My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius – father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife...but that’s when I phoned Claims Direct!”) STRENGTHS- Quite nippy, good traction, powerful weapon, difficult to get underneath, fast srimech WEAKNESSES- so-so manoeuvrability

Name: Automatic Schmuck Motivation: Wheeled (x 4, 120mm diameter main, 30mm ‘castor’ front wheels) Speed: 24.16KM/H (15.10 MPH) Weight: 98.42kg Height: 130mm at peak; variable from 28mm upwards. Length: 870mm Width: 743mm Ground Clearance: 0 at sides w/ skirting, 0 at rear with ‘hinged’ wedge, 0 at front with wedge; 12mm at the point nearest the back wheels otherwise, down to 5mm at the front wheels. Weapon: 17.14kg kinetic-energy bar. 13.10kg, 111.2cm long bar, 2 2.02kg hardox weights (one at each end). It’s powered by a C40-300 on a separate power supply at 24V, which when geared down 2.4:1 gives me a safe 1700RPM (spin-up = less than 0.5 seconds), and a heck of a lot of KE to transfer at the tips. The weapon system is held securely in place on steel box-section supports parallel to the wedged top of the robot, minimizing shock output to the rest of the robot. Drive: 4 S28-300 3” MagMotors, 2 on each rear wheel, on 24V. This gives me easily 10HP and a lot fo torque despite the healthy speed. Batteries: 2 x 24V 3Ah Battlepacks (drive), 2 x 12V 3Ah Battlepacks (weapon). They are all shock-mounted, and slot together due to the unique curving on the outside of Battlepacks, allowing secure holding. Chassis/Armour: Chassis: 30 x 30 x 4mm Ti/V box section. Armour: 13mm Ti/V all round. The skirting is 9mm Hardox plating, as they are all very small, and the two wedges are made from 6mm Hardox plating. Electronics: Runs a RoboWars.org BMC speed controller with Hitec Focus SS-3 75mhz PCM 3ch Radio and a 3-axis computer Gyro for maxium control and handling. Uses 150amp rated Anderson power pole connectors and locking pins. Electronics are shock mounted and mounting in a floating style encased in HD (High Density) foam. Notes: Spinning upside down, paired with the wedged style of the bot, allows a very quick & easy form of self-righting. Designed to knock the shit through some more superbots, for old times’ sake.
Weight:
Weapon arm = 17.14kg Wheels = 2.21kg Gearboxes = 4.20kg Batteries = 7.38kg Armouring = 29.86kg Weapon mounting and weapon drive components = 9.14kg Weapon motor = 5.04kg Electronics = 1.2kg Drive motors & mounts= 12.25kg Nuts'n'Bolts + Other pieces = 10kg max. Probably about 6.4.
Maximum weight: 98.42kg
