Heat B Round 1 Fight 1
Disco 5 (3) vs Axe-O-Lotl vs Slammer V
Disco 5 (3): Martyn designed what many see as the best front-hinged flipper in the game! And with that vertical flywheel and those sprung skirts, who am I to tell them wrong? In MN1: Has beaten Omniforce, Whirligig 4.0, Going Crunch and Clawdius Decimus Murderous, to lose against Psyclonised in the finals. Disco 5 then beat Wedge Devolution to claim 3rd place!
Axe-O-Lotl: Chris made himself a fair axebot. Axe-O-Lotl combines the weapon of Dominator 2 with the force of Storm 2. But how will that aluminium armour stand up? In MN1: Has beaten Malaria with some help from Wind Chaser, but met its maker after being annihilated by Cyberdemon.
Slammer V: Alex (Holt) was inventive as ever when he invented Slammer. This axlebot has flippers both on top and at the bottom so it can drive around with great agility. Also, it has interchangeable weaponry, yeah! Slammer V will use the vertical disc today. In MN1: Had bad luck in its 1st round fight against Psyclonised and Cyberdemon, after a judge decision based on damage. Also, Slammer V won MN1's "most original design"-award.
3… 2… 1… ACTIVATE!
Two LEM’s geared towards 20 mph makes for a quick start, as Chris kindly shows by accelerating his beloved Axe-O-Lotl. The machine seemingly goes after Slammer, who responds with a quick self-flip when Axe-O-Lotl’s axe falls down! CLANG! The axe hits the metal floor and Slammer narrowly dodges it! Chris pulls back his weapon and Slammer goes for another flip… and that disc is spinning nicely too! (it’s only 40 cm. wide y’know ) CRASH! The disc weapon twacks down on top of Axe-O-Lotl’s titanium! A might crater is seen on top of the axebot, and what a turbulent match this tuns out to be! And we haven’t even seen 3rd seed Disco yet! Axe-O-Lotl fires its axe to get rid of Slammer on top of it, and Slammer steers out of the fray… AND DISCO COMES IN! Axe-O-Lotl turns around to face the praised vertical disc weapon… and fires its axe! CLANG! The weapon pierces our current bronze medallist on top of its wedge, the shaft being right beside that dangerous flywheel. Axe-O-Lotl uses its superior drive and starts pushing Disco 5 forward, but the axe-joint between these two heavyweights makes it impossible to do so in a straight line… and the shaft interferes with the disc… BLAM! The shaft is sturdy enough to withstand the blow, but the axe as a whole is swept away from Disco’s body nonetheless! And that shaft DOES look bend mate! In the meantime, Slammer was sneaking in from behind. Disco accelerates forward and hits Axe-O-Lotl with its disc. CRASH! A big chunk of aluminium flies off the axebot’s wedge, and the machine is swept away… CLEARING DISCO’S WAY TO SLAMMER! CRASH! The axlebot flies around as a small football, but Disco receives a good hit from Slammer’s flywheel as well! One of Slammer’s bars is broken, and Axe-O-Lotl comes in on Disco again! CLANG! Another hole is made on top of Disco. The wedgebot swiftly activates its flipper in order to get rid of that axe on top… and succeeds. Disco comes in wedge-first now, and gets underneath Axe-O-Lotl! FLIP! Axe-O-Lotl is turned upside-down, and before it can activate its srimech, Slammer comes by to say hi! In it comes, driving backwards… CRASH! Slammer actually SLAMMED itself ON TOP of Axe-O-Lotl using one of its self-flippers! AND CO2 IS SEEN ESCAPING! SLAMMER HAS HIT AXE-O-LOTL’s CO2-SUPPLY, AND THEREBY ITS ONLY CHANCE TO SELF-RIGHT!

CEASE
Axe-O-Lotl has been beaten into submission Disco 5 (3) and Slammer V go through to round 2!
Heat B Round 1 Fight 2
Axeon 2.0 vs NSBFR-X vs Shovearound 2
Axeon 2.0: Andy’s axebot . Axeon uses the rack and pinion system popularised by Terrorhurtz and takes it to another level. The drive of this machine is great too. In MN1: Did not compete.
NSBFR-X: Or Never-Seen-Before-Fic-Robot-X is yet another interchangeably armed machine, entered by Frank. With 5 sweet set-ups, good armour and a nice drive, this is a great all-rounder. NSBFR-X will use the drum today. In MN1: Did not compete.
Shovearound 2: Tony happens to own one of the most successful vapours of this year. This invertible pushing wonder is the current Fowler Fic War champ. In MN1: Has beaten Leprosy Infection, with Whirligig 4.0, to be beaten by Going Crunch in round 2.
3… 2… 1… ACTIVATE!
Shovearound and its 4 LEMs leave the starting square immediately, soon to be followed by Axeon and NSBFR. The fresh king of FFW drives in a good line to NSBFR, who attempts to get away, but still has Shovearound closing in on its side. The lifting forks reach out towards NSBFR’s side skirts, but they don’t get under! Instead, the forks scrape over the skirts and touch NSBFR’s rounded side. NSBFR is shoved aside abit before getting rid of Shovearound, and faces Axeon head-on! CRASH! CLANG! NSBFR’s drum hits Axeon’s front while Axeon’s axe hits NSBFR’s top . The axe-blow isn’t that effective since Axeon is swept away by the drum on impact. NSBFR’s acceleration proves excellent when the interchangeable machine boxrushes Axeon. CLANG! The drum slams the front-skirt upwards and keeps on rattling against it like a… rattle, and the it looks like the hinge is about to give in when Shovearound comes in at NSBFR-X from behind! With a great clash Shovearound’s forks ram their way under the rear-skirt. CRASH! Tony’s recklessness boxrushes NSBFR closer to Axeon, and now the hinge DOES give! Axeon’s front-skirt now is damn loose and Shovearound raises its forks. Axeon gets out of the way before facing another drum-blow and meets the lifted NSBFR at its side, and fires its axe! CLANG! NSBFR’s armour is pierced now and Axeon pulls back. Shovearound moves forward, causing NSBFR’s drum to contact the floor. With a loud BANG, NSBFR slams back on the ground and is inverted. Back in action, Frank set his sights on Axeon and the interchangeable machine rushes towards it. With nice agility NSBFR has one hell of a go at Axeon’s side… CRASH! Axeon topples upwards and but is not quite flipped. NSBFR shows off its ramming abilities now and slams Axeon against the arena wall! CLANG! Axeon ends up on its side, but is quick to fire its axe when NSBFR comes in for another ram, Shovearound coming in on NSBFR’s side, but not quite underneath. CLANG! Shovearound’s interference didn’t quite stop NSBFR from performing another slam!
10… 9… 8… 7…
Time is running out when Shovearound DOES penetrate NSBFR’s skirt!
6… 5… 4…
NSBFR is inverted!

Heat B Round 2 Fight 1
Disco 5 (3) vs NSBFR-X NSBFR-X will use the drum today.
3… 2… 1… Activate!
That’s two vertical spinning weapons driving their way through the arena right there! NSBFR is off quicker, both with its wheels and its weapon, and comes in on an eagerly awaiting Disco. Disco turns to dodge the first attack, but NSBFR turns quicker! CLANG! The drum hits Disco’s side, and the crowd cheers! Paint is slammed off and Disco has some contused ribs, but the damage looks minimal. After a minor topple to its side Disco hurries away from NSBFR. Disco creates some distance and performs a U-turn, and is back on NSBFR’s tail! NSBFR turns its drum towards its nemesis… CRASH! Weapon-to-weapon, and Disco seemingly comes out on top! The two machines are swept away from each other on impact, immediately, and NSBFR more so than Disco! While Disco’s armour next to the disc shows some big dents, NSBFR’s drum has a slice across it’s surface! Both weapons were stalled after the impact, and Frank and Martyn eagerly spin them up again. SURPRISE! Frank’s drum is taking a shitload of time to spin up after Disco’s attack! Disco’s disc on the other hand is coming along nicely and Martyn fires another attack on NSBFR-X! CRASH! Disco hits NSBFR’s side and the interchangeable moves up into the air and lands inverted on its back! And the side-skirt is sliced too! NSBFR’s drum is still accelerating… slowly… steadily… and Disco comes again! NSBFR moves, dodges and reverses, using its rear-skirt to boxrush Disco! Disco is carried away, but NSBFR doesn’t get under! What NSBFR does do however, is showing off its tank-like steering system to bring in its drum that has reached dangerous speeds by now despite the damage Disco did! CRASH! Disco’s side is struck all right! The skirt moves upwards and the main-body follows, and before long the entire bot is on its back. NSBFR comes in again, but finds its weapon stalled again! The damage done by Disco earlier is paying its toll now, and the drive train did not survive this hit! Disco is rammed by a static drum before using its srimech to get back on its wheels. Martyn is annoyed to see his freshly hit skirt stuck in upright position, but he’s happy to see NSBFR’s weapon being useless.
10… 9… 8… 7…
Time is running out, and Martyn strikes at NSBFR again!

Heat B Round 2 Fight 2
Shovearound 2 vs Slammer V Slammer V will use the vertical claws today.
3… 2… 1… Activate!
Shovearound moves straight off the starting square, THAT’s what 4 LEMs do to a bot! Alex’ interchangeable axlebot moves slower but perhaps more gracious towards its nemesis. With more manoeuvrability than Shovearound Slammer attempts to attack Shovearound’s side. The vertical claw tries to penetrate Shovearound’s skirt, but success there is not. Tony is amused with this outcome and turns Shovearound’s front at Slammer, and accelerates! Mercilessly Slammer is pushed across the arena untill… CLANG! Slammer is… SLAMMED against the arena wall! Tony activates the forks but they aren’t that well underneath Slammer, so there’s little effect. Shovearound moves backwards for another attack… and comes in again! Alex activates one of his flipping plates JUST in time to dodge the attack. Both machines go on the attack again, standing face-to-face. Alex comes in, straight at Tony’s lifting forks! Slammer’s claw moves well underneath and firmly closes around Shovearound’s only active weapon! Alex tries to shove Shovearound around (), but those 4 LEMs give to much resistance to let that happen. Back to the flipping plate… CLANG! With a stylish self-flip with Shovearound in its claws, Slammer utterly SLAMS Shovearound onto the ground, all the time putting pressure on Shovearound’s weapon! The flip however put the inverted Shovearound WELL flat on the floor and its 4 wheels spin up, and shove Slammer backwards! Alex’ attack backfires and he releases his grip, but Shovearound’s move already brought Slammer DAMN close to the pit. Slammer tries to flee, but freeing Shovearound benefits Shovearound’s acceleration! Tony’s rammer comes in quick, the pit behind Slammer! CLANG!
CEASE
Slammer V meets the bottom of the pit Shovearound 2 goes through to the heat final!

Heat B Heat Final
Disco 5 (3) vs Shovearound 2
3… 2… 1… Activate!
Disco 5 spins up its disc like spinners are keen to do, and Shovearound wastes no time ad heads towards Disco like a speeding bullet! Disco goes in reverse, keeping its disc towards Shovearound while avoiding any contact. Shovearound is just too fast and tackles Disco at its front-corner, just outside the reach of that lethal disc! Towards the wall Shovearound goes! CLANG! Shovearound slams Disco against the wall fiercely, but in the meantime comes in contact with that vertical disc! CRASH! Shovearound’s front is hit and the entire body of Tony’s rambot moves upwards and onto its back! Tony’s marvellous machine works just as good when inverted though, and the damage done is close to non-existent. Disco quickly heads to the shaken Shovearound and attacks its rear… RATTLE RATTLE RATTLE!!! Disco’s flywheel hits massive Hardox rear-skirt and knocks it upwards, forming a highly creative rattle in the process. Shovearound accelerates forward, its rear-skirt SLIGHTLY dented. The rambot makes a U-turn to face Martyn’s mighty spinner again, which eagerly awaits that rambot with its flywheel spinning aggressively. Shovearound comes in, steers, and heads towards Disco’s side. Martyn turns but Shovearound is quicker right there. Shovearound forks try to penetrate Disco’s side, but Disco has some nice sprung skirts there! Shovearound fails but still pushes Disco sideways! Disco responds with a quick turn around and its disc hits Shovearounds forks! CRASH! Shovearound is swept backward slightly, but those forks receive a good hitting! Disco accelerates forwards… CRASH! Shovearound hardly recovered from one attack and there’s the next one already! Disco wants to have another go but Shovearound is slightly quicker to recover this time. The FFW-champ quickly moves backwards and seemingly out of danger. Disco comes in, but so does Shovearound right now. As a matter of fact, Shovearound succeeds in hitting Disco’s front corner… and gets underneath the skirt right there! Tony accelerates his machine and activates the forks. Nothing happens! CLANG! Nothing happens until the arena-wall is reached, that is! Still, Shovearound’s forks are out of action, a great bummer for Tony. Disco ends up at Shovearound’s side after being slammed against the wall, and comes in from there! CRASH! Shovearound’s side-skirt receives a hit, paint’s scratched off, and Shovearound is inverted!
10… 9… 8… 7…
The judges have seen enough of it!
