Name: Axeon Shape: Simple box with a front wedge and a steep slope at the back. Dimensions: 700mm x 700mm x 200mm (Length x Width x Height) Weight: 100kgs Motivation: Four wheels with a Vulkalon tread for grip. Power: 2x LEM130’s powered by 90x 3000mAh NiCad’s producing 36v. Speed: 15mph Turning Circle: 0, tank style steering. Ground Clearance: 0mm at the front, 10mm at sides and back. Armour: 8mm Hardox front wedge, 6mm Titanium/Vanadium elsewhere. Weapon: 600mm long Hardox axe with a sharpened point on the end. It is run on a rack and pinion system like that on Terrorhurtz. The rack is driven by a 140mm ram powered by Nitrogen at 100psi, producing in excess of two tonnes of force. There are four 2kg canisters on board meaning Axeon has at very least 30 full power hits. This can annihilate aluminium, punch holes in titanium and even dent Hardox at full pressure. SRIMECH: The axe can easily self-right the robot. Notes: Uses an electromagnet system to hold itself down on magnetic floors and a fan/vacuum system on non-magnetic floors. This is to stop the robot jumping around when the axe is fired like Terrorhurtz. Strengths: Hugely powerful axe and drive combination.

Name: Axeon 2.0 Shape: Sort of pyramidal, only with a flat top and four sides. Dimensions: 700mm x 700mm x 200mm (Length x Width x Height) Weight: 100kgs Motivation: Four wheels with a Vulkalon tread for grip. Power: 2x LEM130’s powered by 90x 3000mAh NiCad’s producing 36v. Speed: 18mph Turning Circle: 0, tank style steering. Ground Clearance: 10mm all round, 0mm with the skirts. Skirting: Hinged 3mm thick Titanium skirts on all four sides to get under others while stopping them from getting under me. Armour: 6mm Hardox monocoque. Weapon: 600mm long Hardox axe with a sharpened point on each end. This version is faster and has a slightly improved double-headed axe compared to the original. Strengths: Hugely powerful axe and drive combination.

Name: Axeon 3.0 Shape: Box with four flopping sides, or a truncated pyramid. Length: 750mm Width: 750mm Height: 150mm (200mm with axe housing) Weight: 100kg Drive: 2x S28-400 Magmotors run at 24v from 3600mAh NiCad battery packs, which gives about 9hp in the drive. This runs four Aluminium wheels with a Vulkolan tread for grip. Turning Circle: 0mm using a four-wheel drive skid steer system. Speed: 18mph Ground Clearance: 0mm at the front and 6mm at the sides and back. Skirting: There is a front FireStorm style extension plate to keep the front wedge close to the ground. Armour: 6mm Titanium monocoque with a layer of 4mm HDPE on top. The axe housing is made up of 4mm Hardox. Weapon: A 750mm long Hardox axe with a double-headed Terrorhurtz style blade. This is operated using a rack and pinion system driven by a 250mm stroke 100mm bore ram. The ram is pumped with liquid CO2 at a pressure of 170psi providing around 900kgs of force. Self-righting mechanism: The axe can self-right Axeon 3.0.

Name: Axeon 4.0 Weight: 100kgs Shape: An angled box shape with sloping sides and a double wedge at the front. It’s quite complex so please look at the picture. Colour: Dark blue with silver detailing on some panels. The axe is also silver. Length: 800mm Width: 750mm Height: 200mm Motivation: Two 150mm diameter wheels placed towards the front of the robot for improved manoeuvrability. They are made of Titanium and have a urethane rubber tyre for grip. Drive: Two S28-400 Magmotors run at 23.1v from A123 M1 Lithium-Ion batteries. This theoretically produces around 9hp to push other robots around with. Turning Circle: 0mm using a tank-style steering method. Speed: 15mph Ground Clearance: 0mm at the front and variable rising to 10mm at the rear. Armour: An 8mm thick Titanium and Vanadium alloy monocoque. Weapon: The main weapon is a 700mm long axe, made of Hardox for durability. The axe blade is designed to bludgeon opposing robots rather than penetrate their armour. It is powered using a rack and pinion system like Terrorhurtz. The rack is driven by a 250mm stroke 100mm bore ram. This ram is fed with liquid CO2 at a pressure of 170psi, which theoretically produces around 900kgs of force. This is stored in two 2kg canisters providing quite a large number of full power strikes. Self-Righter: The angled design means that Axeon 4.0 always lands on its axe if inverted. The axe can then comfortably act as a self-righting mechanism. Strengths: Fairly good all-rounder with effective drive and weapon combination. Weaknesses: I designed it and it isn’t box shaped, something must be wrong.
