Name: A Cut Above The Rest Shape: A horizontal tube shape with boxes at either end Weight: 100kgs Dimensions: 100cm x 50cm x 15cm Speed: 15mph Turning Circle: 0, 2WD Tank Style Steering Ground Clearance: 1cm under skirting Armour: 3mm thick Grade 5 Titanium all over including skirts Wheels: 2x Go-Kart wheels with spikes for wooden arena surfaces Power: 2x S28-300 Magmotors on 24v powered by NiHM batteries on 24v Weapon: Half way into the tube is a horizontal 75cm diameter 25kg flywheel with tungsten teeth that can work either way up, powered by a B42 Magmotor on 36v SRIMECH: Invertible, the spikes and skirts stop it landing anywhere other than on its wheels Skirting: 3mm thick Grade 5 Titanium skirting that is hinged to the robot Notes: It’s basically an axlebot Strengths: Quite fast and destructive weaponry Weakness: Quite bad pushing power

Name: Yet Another Cut Above The Rest Shape: A long drum for the main body with boxes at either end. Dimensions: 500mm x 1000mm x 200mm (Length x Width x Height) Motivation: In either of the square side pods are a wheel 250mm in diameter, each is made of an Aluminium hub with a layer of Vulkolan bonded around the edge for maximum grip on the arena floor. Drive: Driving the wheels are two LEM130 Lynch Motors run at 48v. Speed: The motors are geared for speed. Because of its axlebot nature it can’t push very well so it has a 15mph speed with great acceleration. Turning Circle: Zero turning circle using tank style steering. Ground Clearance: Under the side pods it is around 25mm and under the central drum it is around 35mm. The yawning clearance around the side pods is solved by skirting reducing it to 0mm. Skirts: Simple 4mm thick Grade 5 Titanium skirts attached to the sides using a durable rotary joint. To see how the skirts work you’ll need to see the picture. Armour: Other than the skirts the rest of the body is made of 3.25mm thick Hardox which should keep the innards safe from most attacks hopefully. Weapons: A huge 750mm diameter horizontal spinning disc inside the main drum section. Its is laser cut out of Hardox making it very durable, the teeth are also cut into this shape and later sharpened for great results when colliding with an opponent. It is powered by an LEM200 on 48v which produces about 52hp (correct me if I’m wrong) which can cause some serious damage. Self-Righting Mechanism: Due to its weird shape is should always land on its wheels. Its invertible so either way up will work.

Name: The Final Cut Weight: 110kgs Shape: Two box shaped sections joined by horizontal parallel bars. This looks like an “I” from above. The picture below may help you to understand it. Colour: Sky blue, with a dark grey disc and red teeth. Length: 600mm Width: 975mm Height: 150mm Motivation: Two 70mm wide tracks made of 5mm thick Titanium/Vanadium alloy. Each track has Asmaprene urethane rubber pads on for extra grip on the arena floor. Drive: 2x S28-400 Magmotors running at 24v from NiMH batteries. Turning Circle: 0mm using a tank style steer. Speed: 18mph Ground Clearance: 5mm around the box sections and 10mm under the weapon support bars. Armour: 4mm Hardox for all of the panels and 10mm Hardox for the weapon. Weapons: A 725mm diameter horizontal flywheel with two cutting teeth. It is powered by two S28-400 Magmotors and spins at 2450rpm from a 2:1 ratio. It is 35kgs in weight and can provide around 70kJ of kinetic energy. Self-Righter: The Final Cut is completely invertible. Due to its shape it is very difficult to stack it on its sides. Notes: The weapon support bars are attached using shock mounted fixings to reduce the chances of the weapon harming its own internal components.
